Acne Treatment

Acne is a skin problem that arises when your hair follicles become blocked with oil and dead skin cells. It is the cause of whiteheads, blackheads, and pimples. Acne is most frequent among youths, although it may bother people of any age.
Acne treatments are effective, but acne could be stubborn. The pimples and bumps heal slowly, and as one starts to fade; another appears. Acne, depending on its intensity, can cause emotional stress as well as skin scarring. The earlier you start treatments, the lesser your chance of such complications.

Causes

Acne is primarily a hormonal disease caused by androgen hormones, which become active from a younger age. Acne can be caused by sensitivity to these hormones and surface germs on the skin and fatty acids within the oil glands.
Other possible causes include greasy cosmetics, hormonal changes, diet, infections, mental stress, menstruation, etc.

Candidates

If self-care methods do not clear up your acne, consult our primary care nurses. They may be able to prescribe good medicines. You should get medical treatment from a dermatologist when the acne continues or becomes serious.

Recovery time

Light chemical peels do not require much down time while medium and deep chemical peels can require two to three weeks of recovery time. The procedures can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 90 minutes.
